T2 Healthcare are hiring experienced Theatre Practitioners interested in agency work at an established Hospital located in Central London. The Hospital offers block bookings as well as ad hoc shifts. Role: Theatre Practitioner
Location: Central London, United Kingdom
Pay: From £32 to £40 per hour
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our established Team at one of the leading Hospitals in the United Kingdom. The role offers an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to further their experience and career development.
Requirements
- Significant post registration skills
- Experience in a wide variety of surgeries.
- Specialist knowledge operating theatre care.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Flexibility to change shifts when department needs change.
- Able to operate under pressure, cope with setbacks, self-aware.
- Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge base of theatre practice.
- Registered Nurse with a recognised post graduate theatre qualification or equivalent experience or Registered ODP with cert HE/Diploma
Responsibilities
- Effective management of resources within the department.
- Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported immediately.
- Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of a high level of peri-operative patient care.
- Exhibiting a high level of teamwork with the Theatre Suite and in the wider hospital environment.
- Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
- Help to prevent cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, the maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures and a high level of aseptic practice.
T2 Healthcare Requirements
- Valid NMC Registration.
- Right to work within the UK.
- Completed PMVA training or willing to attend a 3-day course.
- At least 6 months UK experience within the mental health sector.
- Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one.
- Previous experience with patients who have complex mental health needs.
- Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment history.
