Job description

The Leadership Development Lead will support the management, design and delivery of our client's Leadership programs across the business. The role holder will manage group wide Leadership Development programs from design to implementation.

This role holder will have experience in Leadership Development theories and design and will have proven a track record of implementing key Leadership Development programs and projects.

Description

As the Leadership Development Lead for our client, you will be responsible for:

  • Design and delivery of Leadership development programs across the group (e.g. leadership curriculum, mentoring, team leader development) personally and through third party suppliers.
  • Management of overall Learning curriculum including attendance numbers, cancellations, feedback and evaluation.
  • Review and maintenance of our first line manager program and people leader induction programs, ensuring best in class and designed and delivered with a digitally led mindset.
  • Supporting the roll-out of any group wide behaviour and leadership workshops, including any design.
  • Responsible for the delivery of a mentoring platform / process for the group.
  • Regularly review feedback and make required amends and changes.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of L&D theory to support content design for both internally written and externally sourced leadership content.
  • Research the leadership market to ensure the best possible solution for our business needs.
  • Regularly update our internal 'L&D Hub', ensuring relevant content is uploaded, content refreshed and kept up to date and relevant for all.
  • Onboard third-party suppliers, induction of facilitation team(s), and regularly monitoring performance.
  • Implement and track internal measures and action plans for any improvements that are required moving forward.

This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities involved.

Our client operates on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of you being in the office in Basingstoke twice per week.

Capability, Characteristics, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in Leadership Development theories and concepts.
  • Experience in designing Leadership Development interventions.
  • Leadership Development experience in large private sector organisation/s.
  • Experience in facilitation and training delivery of leadership programs.
  • Strong ability to assess and understand leadership capability and gaps.
  • Strong and effective stakeholder management skills with both internal and external stakeholders - confident in building relationships with leaders to establish what's going on / the need etc.
  • Strong record of successful delivery of programs from conception through to evaluation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to influence stakeholders and providers.
  • Proven ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and make effective recommendations.
  • Has good external knowledge around learning innovation / good network / keeps themselves up to date.
  • Proven experience of tracking evaluating and evidencing ROI for leadership interventions.
  • Track record of success in management of a projects and programmes and multiple initiatives.
  • Experience of managing multiple training providers and escalating contractual obligations where necessary.
  • To succeed in this role, you will be a highly self-motivated individual who is familiar working in a fast paced, change orientated environment.
  • You will have a solution orientated mind-set and a strong customer service philosophy.
  • You will be experienced at managing and delivering a variety of leadership programmes and initiatives within the organisation.
  • Decisive thinker. Able to analyse information quickly and use it to make robust decisions.Able to commute to the Basingstoke office twice per week.

Education and Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualification in L&D (desirable).
  • Knowledge of talent and leadership diagnostics and assessments (desirable).
