Learning & Development Business Partner
Wolverhampton – with nationwide travel
Full Time 37.5hrs per week - Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our busy Brewers Decorator Centre Learning & Development Team based at our purpose-built training facility in Wolverhampton. Our L&D Business Partners play a vital part in the success of our business by training and coaching the workforce that keeps us known for being the leading independent Decorators Merchant in the UK.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering a broad range of product, core skills and practical training courses for colleagues across the business both in a classroom environment as well as via e-learning. You will also host our on-site Induction Programme which has been designed to support new colleagues starting their careers with Brewers. This is a very varied and diverse role that would suit someone who adopts brain friendly and creative training techniques with a coaching approach to developing people.
Although this role is based in Wolverhampton, it will involve working in a variety of other locations with regular nationwide travel to our other training facilities in Eastbourne and Guildford as well as across our branch network.

As a Learning & Development Business Partner with Brewers, some responsibilities will include:
Delivering a variety of core skills, product and Induction training to all new and existing colleagues across the country
Contributing to the creation and design of our in-house product and core skills training
Supporting and facilitating external training courses to include working with external practical demonstrators and technical trainers
Ensuring course objectives and content of the training are commercially relevant by acting as a conduit between suppliers, the Commercial team and the Learning and Development Manager
Supporting the development of internal e-learning through design, production and testing of SCORM modules.
Hosting delegates on location ensuring all necessary facilities are set up and available in a timely manner
Assisting in the LNA, research and production of training materials for new courses, as well as updating our existing courses as required
Reviewing and updating training checklists and induction standards for staff across the business
Who we are looking for to join our team:
A minimum of three years’ experience in training delivery
CIPD or TAP qualification (level 3 minimum and willing to work towards a higher level)
Experience in the creation and production of e-learning
A creative training style which embraces brain friendly learning techniques
A passion for developing others
Highly organised and forward thinking with the ability to prioritise own time and workload
Approachable, understanding and calm natured with the ability to influence others and handle challenging situations
Reliable and self-motivated to work to deadlines
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work methodically
The ability to quickly build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels and establish a collaborative working style
Driver with a full licence
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing including spelling, punctuation and grammar
Proficient in Microsoft Office to an intermediate level including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and happy to learn and embrace new software and technologies
Experience of using a Learning Management System
Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels and establish a collaborative working style
