The role of Learning & Development Lead
Currently reporting to our CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping our business grow and as a result, help so many more young people in need of our care.
Key areas will include:
- Lead and develop a small but growing training team plus some associates at times
- Conducting initial and ongoing audit sweeps to establish gaps, trends, actions and outcomes
- Design and deliver engaging, insightful and impactful training and development programs, both in-person and virtually, whether directly or via specialist providers
- Work collaboratively to 'train the trainer’ to help upskill our leadership team in being better able to develop their teams
- Evaluating the impact, benefits and required changes through assessment, feedback and metrics
- Building solid relationships with our external training providers and industry bodies including keeping abreast of CQC & Ofsted Learning & Development requirements in order to ensure compliance and our expertise
- Maintain and develop the young person’s life skills training library
- Succession planning - collaborate with managers and HR to identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans to support their growth
- Tracking budgets with the Finance Manager and Directors ensuring best value across our offering
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and initiatives to keep us at the forefront of learning
About you:
We’re a collaborative and busy bunch and we have fun, but we do get the job done.
You’ll have experience in a similar role, (ideally within our sector although not essential) with appropriate qualifications, but you’ll be able work at pace, communicate with clarity, think creatively and think ahead. And, as we grow, things will change so you’ll need to be ready to roll your sleeves up and get involved with what needs to be done.
