As a Projects Officer for Live Unlimited you'll be helping to make a difference to the lives of care experienced young people living in Barnet, north London.

Most care experienced young people will have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences before they went into care system.

Reporting to: Operations Director & Fundraising Manager
Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all of our staff. We have an office based in Colindale, London, which we tend to work around two days per week, with two days remote working.
About the Role: This is an interesting and varied role. As the post holder you'll be not only be setting up, administering and delivering schemes and activities to benefit Barnet’s looked after young people, you'll also be creating marketing materials and supporting fundraising events. Promoting the work of our charity is key too through updating our website, writing our quarterly newsletter and social media channels, as well as supporting the running and administration of the charity.
About You:
You'll have experience of managing and delivering projects, schemes or activities and supporting administrative tasks including keeping accurate records, financial tracking and expenditure.
You'll also have experience of creating engaging content for newsletters, websites and/or social media channels especially Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver common goals.
Having a passion for Live Unlimited’s vision and objectives is very useful in this role. We particularly welcome applicants with experience or being a looked after child, care leaver or personal experience of the care system.

Working hours: 28 hours (4 days per week) Could be split across five days. Core hours: 10am-4pm
Salary: £135.35pd for 4 days per week (£35,191 FTE) The role is for 12 months with a view to possible extension dependent on funding. Would consider suitable candidates interested in working 21 hours (3 days per week).

Key responsibilities:
(1) The set up, administration and running of schemes and activities, including:
• investigating, researching (including with clients and support workers) and developing future schemes/activities and ways of provision, including providing recommendations with draft budgets
• supporting the Operations Director in the recruiting, due diligence and onboarding of any new delivery partners, including drafting any third-party service level agreements between Live Unlimited and providers
• liaising with family services and other support workers for referrals onto the scheme/ activity, developing and processing application forms, liaising with service users and keyworkers throughout
• developing project plans and co-ordinating logistics, leading on agreed actions to time
• ensuring schemes and activities are delivered to high standard and that appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in use to demonstrate impact and outcomes in line with Live Unlimited’s Business Plan
• keeping accurate and timely financial records of income and expenditure
• maintaining data and monitoring information, including updating measurement and evaluation software tool to evidence outcomes & impact
• providing progress updates and reports as required
• alerting Designated Safeguarding Lead to any safeguarding concerns
• supporting the Project Manager to conduct an annual review of schemes and activities
(2) To deliver marketing and fundraising activities as needed for specific schemes and activities
• drafting communications and social media posts, including maintaining social media calendar to raise awareness, celebrate success, amplify lived experience voices and promote fundraising campaigns. Track and monitor social media engagement
• creating marketing materials to promote specific schemes and opportunities, liaising with stakeholders for input and to drive up referrals
• refreshing website content in house style
• drafting subscribers’ newsletter with updates, fundraising and engagement opportunities, including keeping subscribers details accurate and up to date
• keeping donors details up to date on CRM system
• capturing outcomes in a news friendly manner for use in wider fundraising and marketing activities
• supporting Fundraising Manager to deliver Friends of Live Unlimited initiative, including coordinating Friends meetings and supporting Friends-led events
• providing case studies and other service information to support funding bids and evidence outcomes against the outcomes & evaluation framework and funders requirements;
• identifying fundraising opportunities and co-ordinating fundraising activities; all while
• working with fundraising lead(s) to ensure these fit with wider marketing, fundraising activities and Fundraising Strategy.
(3) To support wider awareness building and promote the work of the charity to enable it to meet its charitable aims and objectives
• attending regular meetings with carers networks, family services and leaving care teams staff to promote Live Unlimited’s opportunities, supporting client engagement and referrals onto schemes
• attending networking events with potential charity partners
• representing LU and participating in appropriate external meetings and events in order to raise the profile of LU and demonstrating LU’s values and objectives
• effectively communicating and engaging with key stakeholders including clients, support workers and other stakeholders
• participating in the administration and running of other schemes and activities including fundraising bids and events as needed
(4) To provide support in the running and administration of the charity
• updating policies and procedures, DBS checks, trustee training and other duties as required, practicing good record and information management
• drafting and collating reports on progress for the Operations Director, including for subcommittees and Board meetings, helping prepare papers, providing information and taking minutes as needed
• ensuring own work is coordinated with other planned activity within the organisation
Experience and Knowledge
• Experience of project management and delivering schemes or activities and supporting administrative tasks including keeping accurate records, budgeting, booking rooms, responding to emails etc. (essential)
