We have a new client who is looking for Learning Support Assistants to work in an SLD school.
The school provides an educational facility for children and young people with disabilities which may include:
- Severe learning difficulty or disability
- profound and multiple learning difficulty or disability
- autism
- significant difficulties with communication
- sensory difficulties
They may also have other needs, including:
- physical difficulties
- medical difficulties including those with life-limiting conditions
- fine and gross motor difficulties
- multi-sensory difficulties
- attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
We have several roles for a Learning Support Assistant at the same school.
The role of a Learning Support Assistantis to promote the learning and personal development of the individual you are working with so to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA) helps children and young people who need support within the classroom. This role assists Teachers to create environments where pupils with extra learning needs can make the most of their education.
Requirements;
- Open-minded, positive and friendly approach.
- A caring and professional manner.
- You must have a clear passion for the role and the education of children
- Must be fully committed to the role
- Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided
