We are currently looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to our school.
Our supports pupils with behaviour and learning needs. Approximately two thirds of pupils are of secondary school age; all pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) with their primary need being social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
A significant number of pupils also have additional needs associated with, for instance, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction, or speech and language needs. Many students will have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
This role involves working directly with identified individuals or groups of pupils, to help overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and raise achievement. You will liaise with parents, appropriate agencies and the wider school community to support all concerned and be the lead of the schools’ Behaviour Team.
