Join GSL Education as an Aspiring Education Psychologist - SEMH Learning Support Assistant in Bromley! This long-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, while gaining valuable experience and insight into the field of education psychology.
Location: Bromley, London
Salary Scale: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: March 2024
End Date: July 2024
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 16:00
About the Role:
- Support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, providing tailored assistance to meet their individual needs.
- Collaborate with senior staff members to identify risks and support strategies for children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
- Work within a supportive and dynamic team environment, gaining exposure to various aspects of children's mental health, trauma, and neurodiversity provisions.
Requirements:
- Graduates of social science, youth studies, psychology, criminology, or similar fields preferred, but non-graduates with sincerity, compassion, enthusiasm, and inspiration are welcome.
- Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and regulations.
- Ability to listen empathetically to students' personal experiences and provide a supportive and nurturing environment.
