Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for existing clients, their families, support teams, or third parties.
- Managing new inquiries, taking initial details, and gathering relevant information to assign to the appropriate fee earner to take further.
- Support the managing fee earner with; care home visits, managing properties, managing utilities, and household bills, preparing for tax returns, and obtaining online quotes for products and services.
- You will need to prepare all deputyship accounts for sign-off by the Senior Solicitor.
- Keep track of key dates.
- Prepare files to go out to external costs’ draftsperson.
- To action any incoming emails promptly.
- To be able to provide assistance and legal support to the Court of Protection Property and Finance Team, by managing various tasks and administration on client matters.
- Prepare routine correspondence.
- Be able to process client matter invoices generated internally and make appropriate arrangements to settle once approved.
- Manage the financial budgets and forecasts on behalf of vulnerable people including, but not limited to making claims for welfare benefits and payment of liabilities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Applications.
- Previous experience with Legal Administration and accounting.
- Advantageous experience working with vulnerable individuals.
- Have a broad knowledge of legal matters, transactions, and client requests.
