We are currently recruiting for a Legal Administrative Assistant to work within the Legal Services Team following a recent restructure. The role shall ensure excellence in service to both internal and external customers by providing a high quality and comprehensive Legal Administrative service supporting the legal services team and client departments.
The post is offered on a Job Share/Part Time Basis of a minimum of 2 days Thursday and Friday with flexibility to consider more hours. Prospective candidates are asked to confirm in their application their preference in respect of Job Share hours.
Prospective candidates should have recent and relevant administration experience, preferably in a legal environment with an ability to resource and prioritise their own workload, working to tight deadlines supporting the legal team and internal departments as required.
In addition, the successful candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team and share ideas in a team environment, work on own initiative and have a patient, honest and caring approach in dealing with Members, the public and colleagues.
The role includes manual handling and archiving paper based legal documents and the candidate must be able to physically carry out the duties and work within the Town Hall to undertake administrative tasks set out in the job description.
