Seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a fantastic company based in Redhill
Description
- Daily remittance processing (encoding)
- Daily banking - preparing and recording of cash, cheques and electronic bank files
- Preparation of daily banking sheets (Excel spreadsheets)
- Collating cheques and forms to Customer Services for further investigation
- Collating information and processing entries arising from daily bank statements
- Posting of daily refund transactions
- Reconciliation of various bank accounts to the general ledger on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Assisting Retail Services with the resolution of queries
- Resolution of banking queries
- Processing and posting of daily manual cheques
- Processing and posting of daily Electronic Bank Payments
- Reconciliation of bank voids (bounced cheques and DD's)
- Control of petty cash
- Undertake such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
Profile
Good knowledge of computer based financial systems
- Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience of working with daily (electronic) banking files
- Experience of working with daily (electronic) banking files
- Commercial Banking Online
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to input data into the accounting system quickly and accurately
- Ability to work to tight monthly and year-end deadlines
- Calm demeanour
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Experience with Vlookup and PivotTables within Excel - essential
- May be working towards an accountancy degree
