A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a high-street law firm for a Legal Secretary to join their team.
You would assist the principal solicitor with private client matters, including probate, wills and lasting powers of attorney. Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and maintain case files.
- Prepare, proofread, and format documents and correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court proceedings.
- Manage communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence with clients.
- Handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of documents.
- Provide general administrative support such as copying, scanning, and electronic filing.
- Assist with the employment team's monthly billing.
Person Specification
- 1 - 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
