Job Description
Our client is looking for a dedicated and confident Legal Secretary to join our Wills & Probate Team based in our office in Hartlepool, on a full time or part time, permanent basis.
We are seeking applicants who are organised, accurate and can use their own initiative. Applicants must be proactive and have excellent typing skills as the role involves audio typing. Applicants should also have a positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment and a keen attention to detail. This role requires efficiency, good time management and the ability to manage your own workload. You will occasionally be required to work at our other offices.
Duties
This role will include but is not limited to:
- diary management;
- audio typing;
- sending & receiving e-mails;
- travel arrangements;
- client contact;
- liaising with internal staff and external parties;
- drafting documents; and
- general administration duties
Skills
We are accepting applications from individuals who:
- have a background in legal work;
- are educated to GCSE levels 4-9, A to C or higher (equivalent qualifications accepted);
- have a good and accurate typing speed;
- have a positive approach to working under pressure within a busy environment and can use their initiative;
- possess strong administrative and organisational skills;
- have a good base level of IT skill; and
- have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9am to 5pm.
Pay
- Dependant upon skills and experience
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hartlepool: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Legal/ Secretarial: 1 year (preferred)
