Job description

The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of Defense for wholesale lending and counterparty credit risk.  It partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities.

Wholesale Lending Product Management (WLPM) was established within ICM to manage the end-to-end lending process with teams focused on credit and transaction efficiency for processes, product, data management and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to process map current and future state flows to ensure optimal operational efficiency and controls.
  • Ask probing questions to fully understand the details within the responses, including off-line communications and technology interactions.
  • Ability to keep discussions on track and keep people focused on the discussion points.
  • Identify objectives and agendas and hold stakeholders accountable for follow up.
  • Map and understand the processes and how they link together to form the wider picture of end to end.
  • Work to ensure that WLPM is operating with its Target Operating Model and controls framework.  
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration across Citi’s Leadership Principles, by driving compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and adhering to Policy.
  • Apply sound ethical judgment, conduct, and business practices, through escalation, management, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and transactions in parallel.
  • Individual must have a sense of accountability and ownership to drive solutions for the client, and deal lifecycle.
  • Individual must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong power point and presentation skills
  • Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up. 
  • High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft based programs.
  • Blueworks, Visio, and Confluence proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to understand the detail and how the components fit into the larger picture.
  • Ability to work in granular detail but maintain a strategic view.
  • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Established knowledge of wholesale Lending Products including, but not limited to, syndicated loans and letters of credit.
  • Proficient understanding of lending documentation and processes, including legal and credit documents, funding mechanics, deal structure and funds flows.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
