About the role
- To support the management of the LGV operation in an efficient and professional manner ensuring all targets are met without loss in performance to the business.
- To monitor, oversee and organise shift operations, including fleet, facilities and people management, whilst ensuring we are compliant with all of our obligations to the Traffic Commissioner.
- To effectively communicate at both group and one-to-one level to all LGV drivers, shunters and banksmen, internal departments and outside service providers.
- To work with the management team, taking a lead in representing the brand, inspiring and motivating the site team and engaging with them whilst at all times demonstrating the company culture and values.
- To effectively support the LGV team ensuring all runs are completed in a timely manner, enabling the business as a whole to exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Undertake to support meetings following company disciplinary and grievance processes, enforcing site rules and ensure safe working practices are undertaken at all times.
About you
Essential
External and internal customer services skills with management or supervisory experience (in particular management of groups).
Analytical and problem solving skills along with attention to detail.
You are a clear communicator with the ability to work under pressure and adjust for operational challenges.
Extremely PC literate, proficient with Microsoft office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) and familiarity with the Google Suite of (Docs, Sheets Slides etc).
Current UK Driving Licence
Desirable
Familiarity with HR policies and procedures and Tachograph management software.
Previous experience in an FMCG environment, Fleet and Health and Safety Experience
