Librarian (Customer Services) Ipswich, Suffolk Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week Band 5 - £36,024 to £40,521 per annuum About the team Library & Learning Services are at the heart of learning, teaching, and research of our growing University, supporting students at every stage of their learning journey. Our purpose is to be a pillar for academic excellence at the university through our provision and curation of resources and services that facilitate independent learning and research success. About the role The Learning & Teaching Librarian (Customer Services) will develop subject-specific information resources and support for learning and teaching in a designated School and or subject area. This will include the development and delivery of face to face and online resources, advice and guidance, workshops, and one-to-ones, in relation to information and digital literacies. The role holder will manage and lead the provision and development of Customer Services across the library. This includes evaluation and analysis of user engagement and experience, identifying and leading on process improvements and ensuring the front of house team are working effectively and efficiently. About you We are looking for a qualified librarian who is open to and excited by working in a small but passionate team. You will have a broad range of duties that give you the opportunity to work across all aspects of an academic library with the initiative to introduce change and help us to continually improve the student experience. You will have an interest in working both with staff and students, developing learning resources, supporting skills development, and building strong relationships across the university. This post has a specific focus on improving and enhancing the experience of all of our patrons within both our physical and digital spaces, so we are looking for an individual who has knowledge and understanding of user experience, evaluation and enhancement.
