We have an exciting opportunity for a Linen Porter to join our group of hotels, namely the Windmill Village Hotel and Manor Hotel, where you will be required to work over both sites. As our Linen Porter, you will need ambition and speed. You will be working to support our teams under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor. As a busy hotel you will need stamina and skill to ensure our housekeeping teams have everything they need at all times. You are the key to our housekeeping team having the required linen and accessories to clean their rooms within the specified time for our guest’s arrival.
Key responsibilities for the Linen Porter are:
- Collect dirty linen from bedrooms and corridors, cage and deliver for laundering.
- Collect dirty food and beverage and Leisure linen from designated areas, cage and deliver for laundering.
- Deliver clean linen to designated store rooms throughout the hotel, including housekeeping, food and beverage and Leisure.
- Be responsible for receiving, sorting, storing and issuing of linen.
- Assist in inventory taking. Report damaged and lost linen to Housekeeper Manager.
- Transport linen carts with clean laundry from laundry rooms to storage rooms on each floor of property.
- Ensure that all hotel bedrooms, corridors and public areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Work at an efficient pace to ensure guests rooms are completed on time.
- Be responsible for all cleaning equipment ensuring that it is used, cleaned and maintained correctly.
- Replenish stock of trolleys and store rooms on a daily basis.
- Ensure that weekly and monthly cleaning scheduled are adhered to. Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks as instructed.
