Salary We are seeking a diligent and proactive Live-out House Manager to oversee the operations of a residence in New York. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a permanent state of readiness within the residence. This role offers an excellent work/life balance with the flexibility to work longer hours when the client is in residence.
Responsibilities:
Manage the housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Provide support to staff, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
Maintain the residence in a permanent state of readiness, including regular inspections and proactive maintenance.
Regularly inspect residence, assets and communal areas for damage and maintenance requirements.
Oversee day-to-day management tasks, including but not limited to coordinating deliveries, managing household budgets, and handling household inventories.
Prepare and produce monthly reports detailing household activities, expenses, and any notable incidents.
Consider and make recommendations for the improved operation and management
Coordinating with the maintenance team, all approved third party service providers for maintenance services as required.
Assistance with the management of utility accounts.
Maintain security protocols and be vigilant in ensuring the safety and privacy of the residence and its occupants.
Act as a point of contact for contractors, vendors, and service providers, coordinating their activities as necessary.
Handle any ad-hoc requests or duties as assigned by the principal
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end residential setting.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and hands-on approach.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Flexibility to work longer hours when the client is in residence.
Discretion and respect for confidentiality.
Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures is desirable.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
