Job Title: Loans Advisor

Location: Rotherham

Salary: Between £27-31,000 depending on experience (with an uncapped commission, OTE circa £38,000)

Hours: 37.5 hour week. Monday 9 am to 6 pm, Tuesday to Thursday 9 am to 5.30 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm. Once a week to work 10 am to 7 pm this can be worked from home)

About the position of Loans Advisor

Due to our exciting plans for expanding the loans department, we are pleased to announce three new vacancies for Loan Advisors. Our client is a broker specializing in complex first and second-charge lending.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced individuals and those eager to start a career as a Loan Advisor. We provide comprehensive training and support for studying the CEMAP qualification. The ideal candidate will be highly driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities for the role of Loans Advisor

• Deliver the highest standards of professional advice and conduct full and thorough fact finds over the telephone to identify client needs. Based on the information provided, recommend bespoke solutions, and offer expert advice to meet customer needs based on their specific circumstances in a compliant manner.
• Package the application through to completion. This includes reviewing supporting documents and verifying accuracy.
• Analysing applicant's credit history and financial information to assess eligibility, identifying loan risk, and requesting additional information as necessary.
• Keep a look out for signs of suspicious or fraudulent activity.
• Assess every customer on their individual circumstances and the evidence presented, to ensure good Consumer Outcomes.
• Document a thorough suitability summary which explains the advice you have provided factoring in the customer's needs, objectives, and circumstances.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Achievement of minimum KPI Requirements and Targets
• Reporting to Senior Team Leader to achieve monthly targets.
• Building customer relationships by understanding their needs and requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process.
• Responsible for advice recommended is in line with the business appetite as well as a regulatory guideline for Responsible Lending and Consumer Duty.
• Keep up to date with market knowledge and stay informed about the latest loan products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Keeping up to date with a monthly mandatory compliance test

Experience and skills required for the role of Loans Advisor

• A "can do" culture to optimise output, performance, and customer outcomes.
• Outstanding communication skills
• Strong organisation skills, time management and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• The confidence to effectively question and challenge lender requirements.
• A drive to succeed and forward-thinking.
• CeMap desirable but not essential having 30 months to qualify.
• Keen interest in developing a career as a loan broker/advisor
