Robert Walters are recruiting a Logistics Account Manager for a market leading Third Party Logistics business to join their Account Management team based in Buckinghamshire.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain processes, working alongside site finance teams to ensure planning, communication and application of contractual Rate reviews and contract renewals
- Drive process for standardisation within region including a single, central repository for customer contracts and documentation.
- Key role alongside General Managers in contract discussions with aim to drive improved commercials and contractual positions across our customer portfolio.
- Create and refine account plan templates appropriate for each of our large, high growth-potential and smaller customers.
- Populate, maintain and invigorate account plans with customers and drive resulting activity and growth opportunities.
- Deliver polished proposals, presentations, contracts and other documentation, in line with procedures and brand guidelines.
- Manage and maintain customer relationships at a senior level.
- Respond to tenders and requests for proposals for existing customers.
- Work alongside site Finance teams to ensure that charging to customers reflects the full scope of our activity (minimise revenue leakage).
- Provide angle beyond day-to-day operations focus in customer review meetings to provide added value, ensuring strong relationships are built and sustained with the Customer.
- Lead and develop strategic projects internally and externally.
The Ideal candidate for the Logistics Account Manager role will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a Supply Chain environment
- Educated to a high standard, preferably to degree level
- Capability to operate at a senior level
- Efficient time management in order to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Able to work as part of a team or individually
- Professional, approachable and helpful when communicating with clients and colleagues
- Analytical and Strategic
- Experienced in negotiation
- A Relationship Builder who can represent the group to all clients effectively
- High levels of commercial awareness, able to spot opportunities
- Build strong, multi-level, multi-discipline business relationships across our business and with our customers.
