Logistics Manager 50k-75k
My client, an international & global logistics company is looking to recruit a logistics professional into this new role and has instructed Reed to head the recruitment process.
The key focus for this critical role would be the management of key clients ensuring that their requirements are fully met and that the business unit operates in a profitable, efficient and compliant manner in line with budgetary expectations and in line with core KPI’s.
You will also be responsible for managing the performance (commercial & operational) of third party logistic partners and agency driving staff.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that necessary relationships with core clients and internal stakeholders are successfully developed & maintained
- Identifying customer service trends and implement & develop reactive & proactive plans to improve performance
- Develop multi-level business relationships with core clients at senior level to ensure that the company is best positioned to win profitable opportunities
- Conducting periodic reviews with all clients to ensure optimum delivery of services and be there as a point of escalaltion for client concerns
- Management & responsibility for performance of agency providers and third party carriers
- Conduct tender documents and procedures for new suppliers

I am looking for a candidate who is part Logistics and part Account Manager. If you come from a logistics background and you haven’t been the main face to clients then I’m sorry you’re not right for the role.
However if you do have both the logistics and client relationship experience then I’m keen to hear from you.
