Night Transport Shift manager

Uniserve, the UK's largest independent Global Logistics provider, is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to join our growing team at the South Kirkby depot.

About the Role:

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing all Drivers and Admin staff, ensuring the smooth running of the transport operation during your shift (2000hr to 0600hr Monday to Friday).

What you'll do:

• Plan and optimise transport routes for cost-effectiveness, adhering to Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
• Lead and direct the transport planning team.
• Develop and approve optimal transport plans using customer IT software.
• Monitor transport management software and liaise with branch teams and customers regarding deliveries and any issues.
• Produce daily operational transport plans to ensure budget efficiency and a high-quality service.
• Oversee health and safety compliance within the department.
• Assist with project work to improve schedules and synergies.
