Salary1711 by Ascot are currently recruiting for Logistics staff to support us at this years Royal Ascot.
Individuals taking on this role play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of events.
These individuals must coordinate closely with different departments to ensure that all items are delivered and arranged according to the specific requirements of each event.
Ascot Racecourse, with its rich history and status as a world-renowned venue, offers a dynamic and engaging workplace where employees are encouraged to embody the Ascot way values of elegant, uplifting and original.
Please note that you must be available for the majority of June for this event as shifts are spread across the month.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the movement of equipment, furniture, and related items to support various functions.
- Ensuring the timely and safe delivery of items to designated areas within the racecourse.
- Working closely with the hospitality, retail, and conference and events teams to meet their logistical needs.
- Setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture before and after events.
- Maintaining an inventory of items and managing stock levels to ensure availability for events.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines during the transportation and setup of items to prevent accidents or damage, including manual handling.
- Assisting in the overall preparation for race days and other events, contributing to the creation of a memorable experience for guests.
To be successful with us, we are looking for the following attributes:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities to coordinate with different departments and external suppliers.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, especially during race events.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Great teamwork skills
