Reed Education is assisting a Special School in Croydon in their search for a dependable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students during lunchtime. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their well-being.

Day-to-day of the role:

Supervise pupils with special educational needs in the dining hall and other parts of the school premises.
Assist pupils with various tasks and personal care when required, including toilet assistance.
Address and clean up any spillages or sickness promptly.
Monitor pupils to ensure they remain within designated areas and keep out of bounds areas secure.
Report any unresolved issues to the appropriate staff member.
Provide care for sick or injured pupils, ensuring they receive proper medical attention, and report serious incidents.
Understand child protection legislation and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Engage with pupils and assist with play activities if needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
A patient, supportive, and nurturing demeanour towards pupils.
