Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team and take on a key role in maintaining the electrical systems and general property maintenance of both residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with a strong background in general property maintenance. The individual should possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, be adept at troubleshooting issues, and be committed to ensuring the safety and functionality of all electrical components within our properties.
Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Install, upgrade, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
General Property Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs.
Address plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance issues as required.
Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to ensure overall property functionality.
Compliance and Safety:Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Keep abreast of industry developments, safety protocols, and emerging technologies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities.
Prepare detailed reports on maintenance tasks, using the company's processes. Whilst identifying areas for improvement and future considerations for any works completed.
Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with property management and other maintenance staff to coordinate tasks and projects.
Communicate effectively with tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive living or working environment.
Qualifications:
Electrical Qualifications: Must be a qualified electrician with relevant certifications.
Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, installations, and repairs.
Experience: Proven experience in general property maintenance, with a focus on electrical systems.
Familiarity with residential and commercial building codes and regulations.
Skills:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and emergent maintenance needs.
