POSITION OVERVIEW
Location: Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
Hours: 40Hrs/Week, Permanent Back Shift
The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager, and has primary responsibility for all onsite Engineering and Maintenance activities. The suitable candidate will have a proven background in Chemical/Adhesives industry, or have a strong industry understanding of blending and batch processing. You will have successfully implemented Engineering process improvements, developed preventative/predictive maintenance strategies alongside breakdown repairs, lean manufacturing, process improvement and health and safety all to the highest of standards. You are a strong project manager and ideally have a degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with PLC knowledge.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Provide a good service and repair program that will assist the production team in maintaining the level of production and keeping downtime to a minimum.
The ability to operate with a hands on approach.
Independently develops plans for the solution of processing problems.
Serves as project team member as needed to accomplish project goals
Interfaces with outside consultants and equipment engineers.
Serves as a resource for R&D, Sales and Marketing on process issues.
Upkeep a planned maintenance program
Focus on health and safety at all times
Conduct other site maintenance as required
Must be able to work within defined budget
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Relevant degree in Engineering discipline
IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge & experience
3-5 years industrial experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proven capability to execute process design projects and obtain results
University degree educated in Electrical Engineering
Experience in a multinational company environment is advantageous
Experience with PC skills in Windows environment required.
Must be willing to travel as training may take place at other HB Fuller locations
