POSITION OVERVIEW

Location: Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

Hours: 40Hrs/Week, Permanent Back Shift

The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager, and has primary responsibility for all onsite Engineering and Maintenance activities. The suitable candidate will have a proven background in Chemical/Adhesives industry, or have a strong industry understanding of blending and batch processing. You will have successfully implemented Engineering process improvements, developed preventative/predictive maintenance strategies alongside breakdown repairs, lean manufacturing, process improvement and health and safety all to the highest of standards. You are a strong project manager and ideally have a degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with PLC knowledge.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Provide a good service and repair program that will assist the production team in maintaining the level of production and keeping downtime to a minimum.

• The ability to operate with a hands on approach.

• Independently develops plans for the solution of processing problems.

• Serves as project team member as needed to accomplish project goals

• Interfaces with outside consultants and equipment engineers.

• Serves as a resource for R&D, Sales and Marketing on process issues.

• Upkeep a planned maintenance program

• Focus on health and safety at all times

• Conduct other site maintenance as required

• Must be able to work within defined budget

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant degree in Engineering discipline

• IEE Wiring Regulations knowledge & experience

• 3-5 years industrial experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Proven capability to execute process design projects and obtain results

• University degree educated in Electrical Engineering

• Experience in a multinational company environment is advantageous

• Experience with PC skills in Windows environment required.

• Must be willing to travel as training may take place at other HB Fuller locations
