Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the companies facilities.
Your duties will include:
- Actively contributing to the site's safety program
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Food Safety regulations
- Managing inventory and stock control for maintenance purposes
- Handling maintenance budget efficiently
- Carrying out preventative planned maintenance and developing strategies
- Conducting mechanical and electrical fault finding and implementing modifications
- Assisting in the ongoing development of machinery and site facilities
- Taking charge of both preventative and reactive maintenance, with a focus on fault finding and diagnostics
- Completing root cause analysis and generating engineering reports
- Investigating chronic/sporadic losses and compiling comprehensive reports
Desired Qualifications and Skills for a Maintenance Engineer:
- Recognised engineering accreditations
- 18th Edition or equivalent apprenticeship experience in engineering
- Strong multi-engineering skills, particularly in mechanical and electrical domains
- Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Flexibility to adapt to business demands
- Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and time constraints
- Effective communication and engagement skills across all levels
- Previous experience in an FMCG engineering environment (required)
