Maintenance Engineer

Market 36 Recruitment are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients based in Witham on a permanent basis.

The experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer must be used to work within a fast paced environment, They will be working with an established engineering team and will have a high level of autonomy and technical challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide front line maintenance support to the shift operations team
• Keep machinery working to the designed output efficiency.
• Repair, service and maintenance of all plant machinery and other equipment
• Ensure accurate records of servicing and repairs
• Fault finding
• Removal/Assembly and fitting of various type of bearings and gear boxes.
• Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

• Track record of electrical fault finding & ideally knowledge of PLC’s
• Worked on processing and manufacturing machinery.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement mentality.
• Ideally hold a recognised Time served Apprenticeship, supported by Engineering qualifications such as NVQ3/HNC or City and Guilds.
• Previous repair serviced and maintenance of all plant machinery and other equipment.

Please note that there will be a requirement to participate in a call out rata for emergency breakdowns and this will be paid

Working hours are Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30 or 08:00 - 17:30

In return our client offers a competitive salary from £35,000 per annum.
