SalaryAdept are pleased to be working with a large reputable Oil & Gas manufacturer in Sheffield. They are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team to ensure that Plant & Equipment is maintained in accordance with Company and Statutory requirements.
Salary - £34,000 to £38,000
Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm
**Duties and Responsibilities: **
- Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings; mechanical and electrical.
- Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with schedule and legislative requirements, ensuring that maintenance data records are accurately and promptly updated.
- Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carry out necessary repairs, and report the cause of breakdown.
- Provide evidence of plant and equipment breakdown occurrences coupled with documented improvement recommendations.
- Maintain a systematic and methodical approach to work organization to ensure that our housekeeping standard is maintained in accordance with Company requirements, providing visible evidence of compliance.
**Requirements:**
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimum supervision.
- Multi-skilled.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and other applications.
- A good understanding and a proactive approach to Health, Safety & Environmental issues is essential.
**Qualifications:**
- Electrical knowledge and a Mechanical bias.
- Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds / ONC / HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Machine tools and CNC controls experience.
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
