Maintenance Engineer/Plumber

Reed is proud to be working with a progressive and fast-growing company specialising in Facilities Management, with over 25 years’ experience in this sector, they are passionate about delivering compliant and cost-effective solutions in this highly specialised market.
Due to continuous growth, they currently have a position available for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maintenance Engineer/Plumber to carry out various planned and reactive tasks for their clients located predominantly within Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities
• Trouble shoot and repair equipment issues with the least amount of disruption to the site.
• Carrying out scheduled Preventative Planned Maintenance work.
• Manage first line response to any associated service request.
• Minor decoration and refurbishment
• Unblock sinks, toilets and drains as required.
• Repair leaks, fit new tap washers, repair ballcocks etc
• Light Plumbing installations as required.
• Adjust doors, tighten hinges, change, or fit locks and door closers.
• Water testing for temperatures and diseases etc
• Provide the delivery of both responsive maintenance and refurbishment work for our clients.
• Educating customers about products/services that are available and how to purchase them.
Key Skills
• Work experience as a Maintenance Assistant or similar role
• Proven property/building maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and decoration works.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a busy team environment.
• Previous experience of PPM and reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns
• Ability to take on high levels of responsibility be enthusiastic and motivated.
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports.
• Building excellent working relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver planned works programs and to manage reactive repairs as required.

This is a full time, permanent role, and the working hours are 40 hours a week, Mon – Fri (On call rota (paid additionally if required). In return you will receive a salary of up to £33,000 and a brilliant chance to join a reputable growing company.
