As our Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in our Digital Print and Warehouse/Distribution facility. You will be responsible for all maintenance over two sites to include routine maintenance, undertaking planned maintenance and repairs and tackling a range of practical tasks.
Our Maintenance Engineer, will have the following responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, and components
- Conduct frequent quality checks on equipment
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Complete minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns, dealing with leaks
- Organisation and planning of work as determined by the Operational Engineering Manager and maintenance management system
- Organisation and planning of specific projects and ordering of materials
- Updating of plant data, documentation, and manuals in collaboration with Operational Engineering Manager
Experience and skills required by our Maintenance Engineer:
- Must have a time served mechanically biased apprenticeship and have relevant practical experience
- Minimum BTEC or C&G qualification
- Competent in parts manufacture and repair by machining using lathes, millers, grinders, and welding equipment
- Up to date legislative knowledge
- Ability to read and work with complex parts drawings and system schematics
- Electrical knowledge to replace bulbs, rewire sockets etc
- Plumbing ability to resolve basic problems such as installing new taps, sinks and toilets, and repairing leaks
- Repairs and maintenance capability to install small fittings, repair sticking doors, toilet seats etc
- Practical problem-solving capability
- Can do attitude and willingness to undertake a range of tasks
- Flexible and adaptable approach
