Levenseat is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with an engineering qualification to join the maintenance team.

About the Role
Accountable to the Site Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities at our Lathallan facility in Falkirk.
Through the use of modern maintenance systems, you will ensure that the teams operate business-as-usual for the plant operations whilst continuously improving on the availability/reliability of the equipment to carry out operations safely and keep downtime on production to an absolute minimum.
You will play a key part in the leadership of the technical agenda, working closely with the Site Manager in leading the planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting the development and implementation of training plans for the shift-based maintenance teams, and driving a continuous improvement culture.
The main purpose of this Maintenance Manager role is to ensure the Maintenance team is working in support of the company's goals and objectives.
The Maintenance Manager is expected to develop and implement the operational plans for the team and ensure they are completed and to supervise staff in the day-to-day maintenance of the process plant and machinery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the Maintenance team is managed in line with Levenseat standards and Health & Safety legislation, including the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment and training on safety equipment, PPE, and procedures.
- Ensure all plant maintenance and inspections are carried out and recorded per the company and manufacturer instructions and procedures and that any maintenance or repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Evaluate systems and processes to determine preventative maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Control, manage and update the on-site CMMS.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Carry out team toolbox talks in line with company requirements and standards.
- Supervise the team daily, including staff planning, motivation, and discipline and identify basic training requirements for staff and propose training plans to the Site Manager. Decide what tasks to allocate to the Maintenance team based on daily priorities.
- Through good communication, ensure all team members understand their duties and delegated tasks.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of risk assessments and Safe Systems of Works.

Shift Pattern: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Essential Skills
An engineering qualification to HND level or equivalent is essential.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge in process optimisation of plant and systems.
- Monitoring of supervisory and control systems.
- Experience in managing a maintenance team
- Ability to respond and react positively under pressure.
- Operational experience in manufacturing processing, energy from waste, water treatment or heavy industry would be advantageous.
