Maintenance Manager

The purpose of this role is to manage, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing plant, buildings, grounds, physical resources, and structures on a planned and systematic manner by performing the following duties, and shutdown activities. Monitoring and organising TPM and Continuous maintenance initiatives.
Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities
- Working closely and liaising with Shift Managers and the Operations team
- Working closely and liaising with the Health and Safety Manager
- Planned preventative maintenance service and schedules.
- Ensuring the security and access rights to the property
- Understanding production requirements and working within quiet times
- Ensuring the fabric of the buildings are maintain to a good decorative standard.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are maintained.
- Ensure all painting and structural repairs are completed to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
- Ensure ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse are completed.
- Managing tools, equipment, and supplies
- Inspect completed work for conformity to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets company policies to team and enforces safety regulations.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Analyses and resolves problems or assists in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate team to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- People management duties, grading, appraisals, disciplinary, return to work interviews including, manpower resource planning
Qualifications / Experience
- Background in CNC machining and hydraulics
- Planned maintenance ethos.
- Fully Skilled Electrician
- Electronic, CNC & Mechanical knowledge
- Experience of PPM & TPM
- Knowledge of H & S procedures
- Experience of working in TS16949 environment
- Experience in a maintenance management role and hold formal qualifications.
- Multi skilled equipment and building maintenance practices.
- Project and time management skills
- Experienced man manager for staff with multi-functional skills and knowledge of employment practices
