REPORT TO: Head of Maintenance and General Manager
WORKING HOURS: 09:00 – 17:00, Monday-Friday (and emergencies)

Role Description
They are currently seeking an experienced, confident Shift Engineer to carry out the maintenance of their sites, ensuring the absolute highest standards are maintained and the best possible experience is given to their guests. You will be supporting a management team that is assigned to look after the well-being of the building and all residents/guests.
The role will allow you to have autonomy in your day-to-day work, you must be an experienced, reliable, trustworthy Shift Engineer, ideally from the property or hospitality industries. It is a role which requires good communication skills and the ability to interact with different individuals including international guests.
Summary:
Perform routine and extensive preventative/reactive maintenance, coordinate Fire, Health and Safety, and generalist upkeep of suites and communal areas.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
* Carry out in high standard repairs and maintenance to the building, its facilities, infrastructure, landscape and equipment including plumbing, joinery, electrical, painting, tiling, resealing etc.
* Performing preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
* Undertake fundamental Health & Safety checks as required and maintain records accordingly.
* Responding to emergency maintenance callouts and requests.
* Daily/Weekly building check lists including all public areas and all plant rooms.
* Weekly Fire alarm testing.
* To adhere to safety regulations, company policy, and company standards.
* Report all works to General Manager and Maintenance Manager.
* Dealing with guest requests daily.
The ideal candidate must have:
* Previous experience operating as a shift/maintenance engineer, preferably in a hotel/similar residential property.
* Generalist experience across painting and decorating, plumbing, carpentry and/or electrical works.
* Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
* Good communication, both written and verbal.
* Able to use Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Strong customer service level
