The Role: Maintenance Technician
Working Hours: Between Monday–Friday 9am–5:30pm
Contract Length: Temporary 6 weeks with possible extension
Rate of Pay: 16.00ph
Location: Birmingham B4

– Working as part of the dedicated on–site team to make sure the students who stay with us always feel at home
– You will be ensuring that the location remains safe and always looking its best, by providing a high standard of repair and maintenance service
– Undertake repair and maintenance tasks to a high quality including plumbing; joinery and carpentry; painting/decorating; replacement of lighting lamps/tubes and required statutory testing
– Running weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting checks
– Logging maintenance requests, H&S hazards and stock requests as required

What are we looking for?
– People who are dedicated to working safely, and to the highest possible standard at all times
– Experience in undertaking repairs and maintenance in a residential environment or experience in any of the following trades: building, plumbing or carpentry
– Able to work in a safe and compliant manner
– Flexible and able to work shifts between Mon–Fri and occasional Saturdays
– Always willing to go above and beyond to solve a problem
