A Maintenance Technician
is sought by a global automotive manufacturing organisation serving customers in over 150 countries, based at their Sunderland plant.
This role will be on rotating shifts. Day shift: 6:55-15:13 Monday to Thursday, 6:55-14:48 Friday. Late shift: 16:30-00:48 Monday to Thursday, 15:05-22:58 Friday.
The Role:As Maintenance Technician you will provide multi-skilled support in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all plant facilities.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor as part of the Operations Support team, you will carry out a variety of tasks including: responding to breakdowns, recording and analysing data, continuous improvement, TPM, working with robots, pneumatic / hydraulic stems, PLCs etc.
Your day to day duties will include:Maintenance of assembly equipment and site facilities as and when requiredResponding to breakdowns as and when they occur on the assembly equipment on a priority basisClose liaison with Manufacturing Engineers in the introduction of changes that affect facilities, safety, or environmentRecording and analysing data from equipment failuresLiaising and working with outside contractors when requiredCoordinating equipment availability and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activitiesAssisting operations in improving uptime on the equipment and producing statistics for recording purposesWorking with Fanuc / Universal robots, pneumatic / hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and working at heightPLC problem solving and programming
