About the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, adhering to strict reporting deadlines
- Cost centre variance analysis of actuals, budget, forecast and prior year, ensuring findings are accurately represented and clearly communicated to all stakeholders
- Cost centre monthly reports produced, providing a clear, concise and timely review of financial performance
- Balance sheet account reconciliation and sign off to ensure control and compliance and accuracy
- P&L and cash actual preparation, assisting with forecasts and variance analysis
- Financial support for non-finance business managers, delivering insight and clarity of financial outputs
- Budget/forecasting support, working with the Commercial Finance teams to assist the budget and forecasting process
- Maintain, develop and simplify processes and controls
- PO approval admin, review and challenge all aspects of cost to ensure strict adherence to the relevant budget and forecast
- Adhoc reporting working closely with all teams across finance and the wider business as required
- Management of one direct report
About you.
- Qualified accountant with strong, up to date technical knowledge of IFRS.
- First class analytical skills, able to interpret complex data and associated non-numeric information
- Must be an advanced Excel user, able to quickly choose what functionality and data structure is appropriate for the task in hand
- Exceptional interpersonal and diplomacy skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders to director level
- Naturally curious and proactive in investigating anomalies, risks, errors etc and suggesting opportunities for improvement
- Well-developed administration and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and flag challenges
- Able to rise to the challenge when working to tight deadlines under pressure with conflicting priorities
