A dynamic and fast-growing company, c£100million turnover has created the new role of Senior Management Accountant to support the Group Financial Controller and Executive team. An exciting time to join the business, with ongoing investment as well as organic growth, the successful individual will play a pivotal role.
Your new role
The primary focus for the new appointee will be to support the ongoing requirement for excellent internal controls and procedures, provide solid management accounts information and good financial visibility to the Board, which in turn will facilitate further growth and opportunity.
This role will suit an ambitious, commercially astute, Accountant with strong management accounting experience and systems ability.
Typical duties will include:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor and manage financial performance against targets and KPIs, including weekly flash reporting.
- Assist in financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
- Participate in the development and improvement of financial processes and systems.
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and assist in audit preparation.
- Assist with ad hoc queries from stakeholders and team members.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Qualified Accountant, nearing qualification or strong technical QBE Accountant
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software programs.
High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrable organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and planning.
Excellent communicator, ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders.
Decision-making, ability to problem-solve and use initiative.
Agile and adaptable to change.
What you\'ll get in return
Competitive salary upwards of £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
