Management Accountant

Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Management Accountant near to Farringdon. Due to the nature of this business the hours are 6.30am - 2pm. This is a newly created role due to growth. As the Management Accountant you will be supporting the Finance Director with escalations from the team whilst assisting in the production of management accounts.

Typical duties

• Assistance in the production of monthly management accounts for various group companies
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the accounts working papers.
• Daily review of sales and purchase ledgers to identify problems and resolve queries.
• Managing short term cashflow including foreign currency and intercompany transfers
• Liaising with auditors for the year end accounts.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly VAT returns
• Being the first port of call for other members of the finance team in need of assistance
• Assisting the Finance Director with ad-hoc projects

The ideal candidate will be at least AAT qualified and have experience of assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
