Management Accountant

The Role

The position of Management Accountant is a newly created position because of further growth and expansion. The role will support the team and be responsible for maintaining financial records and for providing relevant information for managers and decision makers.

To be considered you must possess strong technical accounting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders right across the globe including interaction & participation with several high value projects.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based in the Scottish Borders and easily accessible via public transport with parking facilities onsite.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

• Producing Monthly Management Accounts
• To work with the Finance and wider teams to ensure standard costs are up to date and allow accurate variance reporting.
• Ad hoc product and process costing and other projects.
• Take the lead in the Finance team and challenge on the costing structures and systems.
• Be a key member when new products/projects are designed and provide costing advice and budgets.
• To monitor inventory levels, valuations, risks and provisions and provide margin analysis.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• A key part of finance team and inputs into monthly, quarterly and annual results reporting with accompanying analysis of results for the business.
• To prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• To support business planning, forecasting and budgeting.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) is essential.
• Proactive self-starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
• Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including advanced use of excel
• Excellent communicator and strong team player.
• Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
• Commercial, manufacturing or supply chain backgrounds preferred
