About the team:
Our Accounting team are responsible for preparing, analysing, and reporting the financial results of the business in a well-controlled, accurate and timely manner. Our team is made up of a mixture of part-qualified and qualified accountants who work closely with the entire business to ensure we can meet our financial commitments and performance targets. The key objectives are to deliver the numbers, help to grow the business and manage and control by ensuring we have good governance in place.
About the role:
This role would be suitable for a newly qualified Accountant or almost qualified with over 1 year experience in an Accounts role. You will be responsible for Interchange Accounting for our Merchant solutions business. Day-to-day you will o wn the International ledger including booking of costs and reporting of them to stakeholders and support delivery Management Accounts.
What you will be doing:
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliation and reporting for a Tier 1 merchant and key accounts
- Produce analytical review pack's for the purpose of internal and external review.
- Own the SOX monitoring C&A control for Merchant Solutions International.
- Post, Report and Reconcile accounting records for the Acquiring platform.
- Facilitate the delivery of key elements of SOX process controls
- Contribute to development and monitoring of financial control and SOX framework
- Facilitate delivery and audit of revenue segment for multiple global entities
- Own balance sheet reconciliations for revenue related activity.
- Be hands on remediating risks on processes & controls with the support of SME's
- Create, Manipulate & Analyse complex schedules and datasets to perform operating control's
- Support continued delivery of wider segment/revenue accounting projects as required
- Contribute to key projects within the team
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with at least one years industry experience
- Experience of working in a high-volume data driven business, working with vast and complex data sets.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, practices, and procedures
- Ability to create and handle complex datasets & spreadsheets.
- Skill in analytical and statistical examination for complex problem solving
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Oracle experience
- Basic knowledge of SOX control environment
