Management Accountant

Harper May is collaborating with a leading renewable energy group known for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. They are actively seeking a talented Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Month end entries (prepayment, accruals, fixed assets)
• In charge of the monthly closings and reporting
• Posting and reconciliation of IFRS16 leases
• Preparation of monthly profit and loss accounts and variance analysis
• Preparation of monthly balance sheets and liaison with Consolidation teams
• Review/full reconciliation of all balance sheet balances
• Input of consolidation / reporting package (Group tool)
• Reporting analyses (cash flow, debt, corporation tax)
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Preparation of corporation tax computation in liaison with external tax advisor
• Coordination of year end audit with the external auditors
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of bank reconciliations
• Other Ad Hoc projects

Education and Experience:

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA (Or equivalent)
• Experience of accounts preparation
• Experience of VAT and corporation tax
• Strong reconciliation skills with very good attention to detail
• Strong technical skills (UK GAAP and IFRS)
• SAP knowledge
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills and a pro-active approach to challenges.
