Job Overview: As a Management Accountant/ Finance manager you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company. From calculating commissions for the sales team to processing payroll and preparing financial statements, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that are essential to the financial success. Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate commissions for the sales team.
• Overseeing a small finance team
• Process payroll using Sage 50.
• Handle pensions and PAYE submissions.
• Process, submit, and calculate P11D's.
• Process and submit quarterly VAT returns, including calculating the Fuel Scale Charge for VAT returns.
• Serve as the main point of contact to supply information for the annual financial audit and produce annual statutory accounts.
• Submit confirmation statements on Companies House.
• Serve as the main point of contact to supply information for the annual corporation tax return.
• Process prepayments and accruals monthly.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements.
• Reconcile balance sheets.
• Maintain fixed assets and process depreciation and amortization journals.
• Produce analysis for stock takes and update cost pricing and stock revaluation.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and process goods in transit journals.
• Compile monthly management accounts pack.
• Have full access to the bank for processing payroll and paying suppliers, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare cash forecasts and compare them to shipping forecasts.
• Maintain credit card transactions.
• Produce quarterly financial data for newsletters.
• Import bank data into the system.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Sage 50 and other relevant financial software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
