Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Due to one of Finance team starting their maternity leave later this year, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. We’d like there to be some handover between you both, and so we’re looking for a someone to join the team as soon as possible.

What the Role Involves:

As a Management Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in the production of the management accounts for our UK division, occasionally providing support to your colleagues to do the same for our Australian division.

Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for our UK division, analysing financial data to provide actionable insights
• Work closely with the Financial Controller on budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Manage the Purchase Ledger Clerk to carry out reconciliation, payments and inter-company recharges
• Support colleagues in the production of the management accounts for our Australian division when required
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

Management Accountant Qualifications/Qualities:

• Part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) in accounting (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous management accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
