About the Role
Embark on a rewarding journey with Nottingham Trent University's Finance Business Partnering team as a qualified Management Accountant. Collaborate with dedicated colleagues to spearhead financial planning and reporting activities for a specific business area, be it an Academic School or Professional Service. This pivotal role requires close collaboration with the Dean of School or Head of Professional Services, fostering a profound understanding of the intricacies within the supported areas.
Your core responsibilities include crafting robust business plans, budgets, and forecasts. Dive into the meticulous preparation of monthly and annual management accounts, providing insightful commentary, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring rigorous audit compliance.
As a key player, you'll actively engage in effective management control through regular monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis with budget holders. Beyond financial stewardship, you will be a strategic partner, offering investment advice and guidance to budget holders, ensuring a robust business case for all academic and business projects.
This role goes beyond the conventional financial domain, presenting opportunities to actively contribute to projects geared towards enhancing service delivery to budget holders and streamlining operational processes.
