Management Accountant Standalone

My client, a data insights company based by London Bridge, is seeking to hire an Accountant to join their small but busy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is actively looking for a long-term role in a company where they can stay long-term.

This role is a permanent role, it will ideally be a full-time opportunity but they are open to part-time candidates.

It is hybrid, with 3-days minimum expected in the office.

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join a small-scale data insights company. As a Standalone Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provide support during audits
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide insights for business planning
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement streamlined financial processes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
• Provide support in financial analysis, including variance analysis and cost analysis

Requirements:

• Part or fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working in an agency environment is a plus
