Come and join us as a Finance Manager for our Management Accounts team on a 15 month maternity FTC, and be part of a hugely successful and friendly Finance team.
The Role:
We're recruiting for a Management Accounts Finance Manager who is on an upward career trajectory and looking for a fresh challenge.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Management Accounts Finance team within City Plumbing. The Management Accounts team is pivotal in supporting the business to achieve accurate and timely reporting.
Reporting into the Director of Financial Control, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to take ownership for day to day finance, whilst also providing financial insight that will inform the strategic direction of the business up to the board level. The role will also be heavily involved in the presentation of financial performance, budgets, forecasts and plans to the commercial director and their leadership team. 
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for internal monthly P&L reporting for City Plumbing Supplies branches, reporting to Commercial Finance Director, Director of Financial Control and Chief Finance Officer.
Work and build relationships with all functions within finance to deliver accurate month end reporting and help provide analysis for any key movements to budget.
Delivery and ownership of core finance processes, such as budgeting, forecasts and balance sheet preparation and review.
Responsible for stock accounting, including monthly P&L stock reporting and posting of stock balances. Also providing business partner support to National Stock Manager and Operations Director, to ensure monthly branch stockcounts are correctly accounted for and supported.
Responsibilities with the external auditors during audit season including preparation of deliverables, along with supporting queries.
Provides leadership, coaching and direction to all direct reports within the team.
Supporting operations team during and following month end, to provide analysis for key overheads and movements to budgets, ultimately supporting branches P&L queries.
This FTC role is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire

Skills and competencies
Relevant Qualification - CIMA / ACCA / ACA / AAT
Previous experience in partnering with stakeholders is essential, as well as line management experience.
Advanced knowledge in Excel or Google Sheets.
A drive and passion to change the way something has always been done.
Experience of working within a changing business environment, with exposure to system and business structural changes a strong advantage would be preferable.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Senior Finance Business Partner , Finance BP, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Management Accounts.
