An overview of the role:

First, and foremost, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of transformative Procurement solutions for leading companies. You will draw on your experience to work collaboratively with Capgemini colleagues and our clients to support them in understanding the challenges they face, to develop and land solutions in their business.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and will ensure the effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals, applying appropriate implementation approaches based on Capgemini’s delivery concepts, consulting tools and methodologies. You will be responsible for managing the scope, quality, cost and on-time delivery of the projects that you lead.

We have a strong multi-sector industry focus on Consumer Products & Retail (CPR), as well Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defence and Automotive. Dependent on your experience we will position you with a primary sector focus. We have leading positions in developing creative value propositions for clients from strategy inception to assisting in execution and benefits delivery.

We are rapidly growing our Procurement and Supply Chain capability in the UK consulting business, working with industry leading clients, many of whom are recognised leaders in Procurement and Supply Chain. To achieve this growth ambition, we are recruiting high calibre consultants, Managers and Senior Managers with experience in Procurement Strategy & Supply chain Transformation, Supplier Relationship Management, Risk Management, Sourcing, Sustainability and Manufacturing Operations alongside Industry 4.0 to bring new ideas and perspectives into our team and the work we do.

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We’d love to meet someone with:

You’ll bring experience in Procurement transformation in one or more of the following sectors: Retail and Consumer Products, Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Life Sciences, Energy & Utilities.

You will have demonstrable experience across a representative sample of the following:

  • Procurement strategy, deep knowledge of Procurement process and process design/optimisation, operating model design delivery and identifying and delivering enabling technology
  • Procurement transformation and benefits case realisation using digital technologies and data orchestration
  • Sustainability driven solutions – including Supplier and Sub Tier Risk Management, mapping and measurement of organisations.
  • Procurement processes including Source to Contract, Purchase to Pay and invoice processing
  • Knowledge of current software Industry leading Procurement solutions and their capabilities
  • Experience of Supply Chain and Logistics solution design and operation with knowledge of planning and demand Forecasting, Extended Warehouse, and Inventory Management – including experience with tools and techniques such as Machine Learning
  • eCommerce and Omnichannel solution design and implementation – including experience with Order Management/Strategic Order Orchestration
  • Payment and invoice processing
  • Manufacturing Procurement transformation enabled by IOT, data and digitalisation
  • Industry 4.0, including business case analysis, roadmap design and target operating model design

You will have a strong track record of working with or leading and developing diverse teams.

  • You have a passion and understanding for Procurement transformation in a digital world, with a thirst for thinking “what is next?”.
  • You are focussed on ensuring new solutions deliver sustainable results within Procurement as well as an understanding of the evolving needs of dependent functions in the wider value chain.
  • You bring a solid track record of successful and profitable project delivery, capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment.
  • You have a passion for development, coaching others and improving the performance of teams and individuals.
  • You identify business issues, develop innovative and compelling solutions, and convert these into client proposals.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently across all levels of Capgemini, our clients and 3rd party organisations.
  • You demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and resilience – being able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
  • You’re able to articulate your views on the future of Procurement, digital manufacturing and the challenges facing CPO’s.
  • For Senior Manager roles, you will:
  • Have experience pitching and selling work to clients.
  • Have experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • You are Security Cleared or is eligible for through Security Clearance (SC) for Defence related project work. Please note this is preferred and not mandatory for all applicants.
