Job description

To own and develop NWS’ arrangements for managing Organisational Changes (MOC) ensuring that Organisational Changes that could affect the organisational baseline and/or impact on EHSS&Q performance are evaluated and potential risks are identified and mitigated in compliance with regulatory requirements.
To encourage and monitor compliance with the process, providing training and support to staff when needed. To conduct post implementation reviews Of Organisational Changes to identify learning and drive continuous improvement across NWS.
The role involves working across all directorates and with staff at all levels, especially:

  • MOC assessors to ensure they are applying the MOC process
  • HR colleagues who are responsible for the NWS organisational baseline
  • HRBPs to ensure no changes are made to the organisational baseline without a MOC being completed.

Close liaison and interaction with, and influencing of, NWS Executive, Senior Leaders Group and NWS staff at all levels.
Responsible for interfacing with the regulators and auditors about the NWS Management of Organisational Change Process and how it is implemented.
A key part of the role is identifying external good practice that can be integrated into NWS.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
  • Experience of the Nuclear industry or a first degree in an appropriate subject.
  • Change management experience / stakeholder engagement
  • Significant understanding of the regulatory regime applicable to Nuclear waste Services and disposal and site licence conditions / environmental permits
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable
  • Good external networks to draw operating experience from
  • Member of industry forums on Organisational Change and capability development
  • Process owner experience (3B level)

RWM T&Cs the level of this role is RWM 5 (in 5-4)

Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is a joint trading name of LLW Repository Limited and Radioactive Waste Management Limited.
This role will be employed by LLW Repository Limited unless the successful candidate is currently on Radioactive Waste Management Limited terms and conditions. In this situation the employee will continue on their current terms and conditions.
