Job description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Manager to work as part of our Advice & Information Team.

The Rethink Mental Illness Advice and Information Service exists to create an improved quality of life for all those severely affected by mental illness. The service is national, supporting people across England.

The team deliver in depth, holistic advice on a range of issues including the Mental Health Act, social care, welfare benefits and medication. The team also write and review our information resources; over 100 factsheets and webpages accredited with the Patient Information Standard (PIF).

We provide Advice and Information via our helpline, e-mail and webchat and our clients include people living with a mental illness as well as their carers, friends, and relatives.

How you will make a difference

I will lead the way to a better quality of life for people affected by mental illness by overseeing the operation of our national Advice and Information Service. Supported by a team of senior officers, I will ensure staff and volunteers in the service provide holistic and high-quality Advice and Information to clients on a wide range of mental-health related issues.

I will monitor and report on output and outcome KPIs, ensuring that the team is high performing and clients feel heard, treated with dignity and respect, and empowered to tackle the difficulties they are facing. I will work to ensure the service is reaching everyone in society and take positive action to address any inequalities in relation to the full range of protected characteristics and in particular ensuring our commitment to anti-racism is realised.

We are looking at interviewing for this role on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th of April.

  • Appointments will be at the minimum of the band.
  • London Allowance is paid for roles that are based within the Greater London area only.
